Press Release

The Chemical Industries Association (CIA) are relieved to hear that there has been agreement to the company’s Survival Plan. We hope now that the plant can become fully operational as soon as safely possible and Ineos employees can get back to doing what they do best - making sure Scotland's major industrial facility is working.

The company's Survival Plan is the right way to secure the long term sustainable future of the site for the sake of the workforce, their families and the Scottish economy.

Both Unite as a trade union and Ineos as a global chemical presence, are major players in the future of the chemical sector across the UK.

Steve Elliott Chief Executive of CIA said;

“Let the long term future of Grangemouth be secured so we can all get on with developing further the future of the Country’s hidden gem - the chemical industry”.
